Julián Barón was kind enough to send me a copy of his book Censura which deals with the “big circus of politics”. In Censura, Barón pushes the effects of flash photography, only leaving a few legible details in his images and relegating his politician subjects to their worst nightmare: anonymity. Barón carries the concept through to the glossy paper and even to the short text at the end of the book (printed in bleached out fluorescent green on white, it is challenging to read, to say the least). After Ricardo Cases’ brilliant Paloma al Aire, this is another great little book to come out of Spain.

Update: Barón has posted a very nice little video of the printing of Censura. Check it out here.
